"Ticklish Tom"
"Ticklish Tom" the poem by Shel Silverstein is a comedic narrative poem that tells the story of a little boy who couldn't stop laughing. It incorporates different aspects of poetry together to make an enjoyable poem with a great rhythm. The very first line uses alliteration, by have two words with the same sound at the beginning of each, "Ticklish Tom". The third line uses assonance with the words wiggled and giggled. The entire poem has an rhyme scheme where each pair of lines rhyme (aa,bb,cc,dd, etc.) "Ticklish Tom" also uses imagery by describing sounds and motions.
